Davao
Reaching Davao is easy since there are regular direct flights from Manila via PAL, ZestAir, AirPhil and Cebu Pacific. There are also some carriers that serves direct flight now for Davao from Cebu, Zamboanga and Cagayan de Oro.

Festivals in Davao:
1. The Araw ng Dabaw - (every March) where we celebrate the city's birthday. It has a week long activities showcasing davao riches, from trades, local fashion, foods and exercising the bond of such different ethnicity living in Davao.
2. The Kadayawan Festival - where we give thanks to the Lord for an abundant harvest. Still, its a week long celebration. The parade is the highlight of this festivities which usually celebrated every August .
For the beach bums:
Samal Island offers beautiful white sand beaches and its only 30 to 45 minutes trip. Few I've visited are:

Abreeza is the newest open Mall here in Davao, co-owned by Ayala & Anflocor. SM, The Gaisano Malls and Robinsons to complete the list.
The night is alive along Torres St. where you can find various hangouts for the vampires i mean the night Folks.
The Damosa Gateway also offers good restaurants, coffee shops and everything about fine dinning.
