Okay, I love dogs, they are gift from GOD, (GOD = DOG). I consider them as God's way of making people happy, teaching us how to love, care and value life.
During my occasional trips, I often got a chance of having sweet memories with dogs. Last August, when I was in SAGADA it brought a different story.
Our last day of activity was trekking to Mt. Kiltepan to watch the Sunrise. We left at the lodge a bit late around 6:00 am, so we already knew we are going to miss the sunrise. Passing through the busy market (Saturday is the only market day in Sagada) we meet a bunch of dogs playing, a friend who has a phobia of dogs (she was attacked twice already) was hiding at my back so I greeted the pack a good morning. These two, the biggest in the group playfully smiled at us.
Moving forward, passing through Sagada's weaving area, we meet lots of Dogs, taking into account dogs are territorial I assume a rumble is coming but whew! everybody in that area scared of them, hahah! Oww, I forgot we baptized them already. Sam the white one and Jacob, hihi!
Passing through, Sagada weaving!
Sam here, rolling a lemon....entertaining really!
Reaching the road I called, "the road less traveled, Arbs develop a trust to them. Walking with these babies is like walking tons of friends around. Sam is an entertainer, he keep chasing the chickens feeding around the road.
Arbs, here building trust with the two. :)
I walk slowly cause, its an uphill. I can race if it was downhill. While I fall away from them, Jacob keeps an eye on me. Then I started to realized, my whole life , of what I am today I worked hard all of it, but I never meet someone, though my family was there all my ups and down but someone who cares for you even though your both strangers was caught me off balance.Jacob, leading the way!
Reaching at the peak, they were like my own, my kids, my friend rolled in to one. It seems like we already knew each other over a long time already. We bonded like they knew everything about me. No hesitation just pure love, trust and respect.
With lovely Jacob here, the love of my life.
With the boys, watching the fogs below.
Since we are bit busy taking picture, they left ahead of us. Hoping we can find them at the Market, we rush back and promise to buy a breakfast for them as a reward for being such a helpful friends and good tour guide, but we couldn't find them. Around 10:30 am we give up, because we need to pack and catch the 1pm trip to Baguio. As the bus move away, it pained me to think that I never got the chance to give my thanks to them officially. You might think its quite ridiculous but GOD I was hurt. For others it might be nothing but for me its special, its everything. That simple gesture that captures my heart. It gives the new meaning of companionship, friendship, respect and trust.
Here are more picture with the boys:
My L-O-V-E, Jacob.. such a sweet boy!
Sam, asking for a kiss!
Traveling is not only for leisure or getting away from a stressful work but also a learning process, a realization towards your view about life and to anybody who move's around with it.
Before I close this article I want you to have a glimpse of Noname, a friend I met at cafe st. jo!
Pretty boy eeyy!
Love everything you have, that's the greatest gift God has given to you. No matter how hard to survive in a day-to-day life, hardship will never be felt in loving heart.
